Can't change any passwords

Hi i'm having a huge problem with DA none of my users or myself can change any user passwords using the DA interface only way i can do this is by changing them directly in ssh. I've searched through the forum but can't seem to find any topics on this. Can someone help :)

What operating system and DirectAdmin version are you running?
Does directadmin's log's give anything useful? Is any error returned?
Where is passwd located on your system?

It sounds like it could be a bug, but I'd check the path to passwd first.
 
Running fc3 with DA 1.24.4

There are passwd files:

/etc/passwd
/etc/virtual/*.*.com/passwd

* being all subdomains and domains

I can't see any passwd related errors in the error log but i am seeing other errors in there:

I'm talking about the passwd binary itself that you use when you change the password.
 
I use passwd on my local box...didn't think to try on the dedi i just used webmin to do it...just installed passwd on the dedi and all is well now :) thanks for the response.
