Cant create ftp account proftp

Hello experts,

We have a problem with proftp;
One of our reseller have a own IP. When he add a user the default ftp account for the user work correct, but when he add a extra ftp account, it doesn’t work.

So I run proftp in debug mode, and see this:

85.17.***.*** (82.174.***.***[82.174.***.***]) - no supplemental groups found for user 'robert@******.nl'
85.17.***.*** (82.174.***.***[82.174.***.***]) - no such user 'robert@m******.nl'

I think it has to do with de proftp vhost or something, but i can’t find what exactly
