Can't login to FTP once changed password

Hello,

I just installed directadmin, but there is a big problem with FTP
After a user/reseller/admin changed his/her password, he/she can't use the new password to login to FTP but the old one! However the new password does work for logging into directadmin

Does any one know how to fix it?

Very strange. As I can remember ProFTP uses the systems account as well DA does. So the passwords should be the same.

You can try using passwd to set the password for the user. Wich should result in the same thing, that you can only login to DA and not on FTP with the password.

Last you can restart ProFTP or check it's logs :s very very strange.

Proftpd has its own username and password database, as such when the DirectAdmin password is changed the ftp password is not changed.

You can change the ftp password in the FTP Management page.
