I can't see the pop-up window to enter user name and password.
Is there the other way to login my control panel? I think that my browser (IE 6) has some restriction that prevent the login window to pop-up (I disable all pop-up programs.)

I have tried mydomain.com:2222 and mydomain.com/config and it just shown:
504 Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
Code:
 A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.
Could not open error file
 
Are you a hoster or a hostee? (copyright 2006 Jon Stacey :rolleyes: )

If the latter, you need to contact your hosting provider about the problem. If it is (suprisingly) the first, what version of DirectAdmin are your running? What operating system? Do you still have root access to the server? Is directadmin running? What are the last changes made to the server before it stopped working?
 
I am the user. I asked my hosting service provider and waiting too long for their answers.

I am the hostee.
I host with http://dollar-hosting.org/ and on the main page, they show direct link to your site, so I don't know what version they are running on the host.
I use WinXP Professional SP2, and don't have access to the root of the server, my folder is at ~Erikh

I am considering buying your software after enough experiencing using it with a hosting provider.
 
There is no other way unless your hosting provider changed ports for example.
There is nothing that you can do besides waiting for your hosting provider to answer or you switch to a new one.

Nobody except DirectAdmin Sales and DirectAdmin Support are official JBMC Software representatives.
 
The only thing I can add to jmstacey's post is that...

1) you might want to check your firewall to see if it allows port 2222.
2) DA does not have a POP-UP page for logging in so blocking/allowing pop-ups won't have any effect on the ability to log in.
3) Take into account that DA will not run on a Windows server and if you want to buy the software in the future you'll have to have a *nix server to run it on.

For the rest it's as jmstacey said... you'll have to wait for your hosting company to respond and unfortunately some companies are very slow in responding...

As Onno helpfully points out, DA doesn't have a popup, because it uses PHP authentication.

And even if it did, the login popup _would_ still work; it doesn't come from sites that use http authentication, but rather from your local browser.

GATEWAY_TIMEOUT sounds like a local error, either from your system, your local network, or your ISP.

Probably from your ISP. They may not support port 2222 through their gateway to the 'net.

You should check with the support group for your ISP.

And you should also try:

http://dollar-hosting.org:2222/

That works for me, and if it doesn't work for you then the problem is at your end.

I have tried http://dollar-hosting.org:2222/
and it doesn't work either.
When I come home, I tried the links using my home computer, and everything works fine.
I am sure that the firewall in my company blocks port 2222 for http protocol.
