I'm trying to set up SSL for a domain that is owned by a reseller. I've completed the following steps (all given data is dummy data):

1) Admin, IP Management, Add IP
2) Admin, IP Management, Assign To reseller
3) Reseller, List Users, Modify (your own) User data, Add Additional IP
4) User, Domain Setup, doma.in, Add Another IP to doma.in

The DNS is managed elsewhere, the IP has been set there too, so the domain now resolves to the new IP address. I've checked using nslookup and firebug's "Remote IP address", so the IP has been properly added to the domain.

However, now I want to set up the SSL certificate. I log in as the reseller, click on "User level", click on SSL certificates, and it says "You can only add a certificate if you own the ip you are using". But if check under "IP Management" in the "Reseller Level" it says:
1.2.3.4 owned username

So I'd say the IP is owned. I read somewhere the IP needs to be the main IP, so I went back to "Modify (your own) User data", and under "Change the User's IP" there's a field named "Set IP To", but the new IP address doesn't show there (it does show under Current IPs).

So now I'm kind of at a loss how to proceed, and my Google-Fu isn't enough to find out. Any suggestions?

Is the IP# shown an additonal IP#? Or the main one? If it's one of two IP#s then remove it, which should make it available again, then change IP#s instead of adding it.

Hm, I wasn't supposed to add it before making it the main? I can't test it ATM, one my colleagues removed the other IP once the DNS had propagated, that fixed the issue for me. But I'll keep it in mind for next time. Thanks!
