You can make custom changes to httpd at the admin level.
If DA would add this ability at the reseller or user level I hope it's a settable option; I for one would prefer my clients use cgi-bin.
Why? Because that limits the places I have to look if someone installs something malicious.

At the moment this can be overidden. Changes to apache to not allow this overide would need to be made.
