Login as admin. Go to reseller level -> Skin Manager.
Select Evolution and then click Apply to me.
If you want it for everybody, click Apply to all users. It might be that you have to click "apply to me" afterwards anyway.

Yep, I would try to use the set global and refresh the browser.
With the latest version, are you able to change the dashboard logo in evolution skin ? Mine have problem as described here: https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/directadmin-1-62-5-release-candidate.64156/#post-334464

That's another issue, looks like custom in a realease candidate. It's better to keep that issue seperate.
Yes, sorry it's a separate issue. I love to see Directadmin team able to implement bug tracker site. They might go with the free open source bugzilla tracker. So, this is easier to reference bug and the team can click whether or not the issue is bug or not.

Fully agree with you there and I'm not the only one. Maybe you could put that up as a suggestion in the feedback.directadmin.com forum. Big chance it will be voted up heavily.
Check your directadmin.conf file, you probably have a line something like this:
docsroot=./data/skins/enhanced
Change it to:
docsroot=./data/skins/evolution
That should fix your login page skin. Remember to restart DirectAdmin for the changes to take effect.
