change bandwidth when reset

some customers have a 5000 MBs bandwidth package, but request non-recurring additional bandwidth for one month
my idea is that, when changing the bandwidth limit, I have the option to specify "change to 5000 MBs when reset the count" or something like that

I think this walks the fine line of whether DirectAdmin should have this function or your provisioning software should handle it...

Which walks the line of "does any provisioning software allow this"?

We've never found anything as fine-grained as we want, so humans will always find work here :) .

There aren't any that I know of however modernbill probably gets the closest with fine grain control with DirectAdmin.

It would create a lot of headaches eitherway. If in DirectAdmin you would have synchronization issues between your provisioning/billing and controlpanel. If in your provisioning system you have (in my mind) unecassary coding to do. Just charge for overage people. MB already does this for directadmin.

Jon,

Some people, we included, charge a lower rate for extra bandwidth ordered in advance, than bandwidth used after the fact.

So we make changes in the DA control panel as required, and then change the billing accordingly.

Yes, we'd like to only do it for clients who want it from now on, but we'll do what the client wants.

Jeff

Modernbill might already be able to handle this. I'd have to take a closer look but you can allow bandwidth upgrades/downgrades.
Sure it won't go back to the original after the 1 month, but you can still present the user the option to downgrade again.

At least from the looks of it.

Thanks, Jon.

I don't know nearly as much about ModernBill as I need to know.
