When I built my server (FreeBSD 6.3) I added a second drive and mapped it to /home because I knew I would need a lot of space for web hosting. From what I have read DA does not put the users files in /home/{username} but instead creates a symlink and stores the files /var/www.

How do I make it so DA stores the files in the users /home rather than in /var?

I may very well be wrong. I'm away from my server at the moment so I can't verify where the files are located in the filesystem. As long as the files are stored in /home I'm happy.

DirectAdmin on Linux puts users in /home.

DirectAdmin on FreeBSD? I don't run FreeBSD and I can't tell you where it puts users. Hopefully someone else can and will.

DirectAdmin on Solaris? DirectAdmin doesn't run on Solaris.

DirectAdmin on Windows? Who are you kidding :D.

I was indeed wrong. Not sure where I got the idea it was using /var/www.
