Can't create mysql database... wrong password???

Hi,

I've used the instructions found at http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=45 to reset my da_admin password.

Now I can't create databases from DirectAdmin. I know both passwords matches (the one in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf and the one I've entered through sql command line). I can login through "http://mywebsite.com/phpmyadmin" using da_admin and my password (which is the same as mysql.conf).

I keep getting this when creating databases in DirectAdmin:

Error connecting to MySQL: Access denied for user 'da_admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

So is there another place I should change the password for da_admin?

Thank you,
Stéphane Brault

Have you or has anyone updated MySQL for the server?

Newer versions use a different method of encoding passwords; you'd have to reset the password from the command line.
