Change reseller on IP with users.

I have an IP that is set shared. With one reseller account (it doesn't appear to work in WHMCS, WHMCS says because it's 9 chars and it can only be 8 max).

There are 3 users on this IP. I have created a new reseller and moved the users to that reseller. I can't change the owner of the IP because users are on it, but those users no longer belong to that reseller login. Just need to change the owner of the IP to the new reseller account.

I don't want to change the IP of the users and then remove the reseller and reassign it because I don't want the downtime.

Is there an easy way to do this that i'm overlooking?

Perhaps a second thought.

The script change_username.sh - would this be a viable option in this case?
