Can I change username of email address of system?

ex. "[email protected]" instead of "username"

I'm not sure of your question. Are you trying to change the main email address of your admin account, of a user's account, or some other account?

Hi Jeff,

the account "test" has the email account system "[email protected]." To access the email address "[email protected]" must be placed only username "test". I want to enter "[email protected]", as for all other e-mail addresses

You can't change the mailbox name, because the system account is the username.

You can of course create a forwarder forwarding test to any other mailbox name you choose, but it wouldn't be the same mailbox name.

You might be able to actually create a mailbox named [email protected], but you'd need to do it manually (from shell) as DirectAdmin won't let you do it. Way to comlex to try to explain here.

Unfortunately, a my customer must be configure this account in a blakberry. His blackberry wants as username the full email address and then does not work.

I was hoping there was a way to get even the complete username in addition to what is already

IMO the best option is to not use that account, and therefore make the DA username to something the customer doesn't want. e.g. a customer/order number c045
