Sorry for the double post here fellas, but I felt like the tread it originally posted to wasn't getting noticed... anyways:

Hi Hi!

I have another question pertaining to the way DA handles users:
When I add a new domain user under a reseller group, there does not seem to be any way to modify that admin username.

Am I going to be forced to create an entirely different user account and transfer configurations across everytime a customer wants to change his administrator username?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Vance

That's correct. The username is a linux username, and it's used in many places throughout the system, including directory paths.

I don't see why you allow or need to allow your siteowners to change their login usernames. We generally set up the username for the client based on characters taken from their domain name, and once it's set up, that's it.

So to answer your question, probably yes.

Or I suppose you could figure out where the username is used in the system, in both files and paths, and create a script to change them.

Thank you.

We don't actually allow customers to change their username, this is a singular problem that popped up today.
The customer just HAS to have his admin username changed, why? I don't know.

I'm definitely going to make it a policy that admin usernames coincide with the domain name in the future.
