Got a question for you guys, please excuse my ignorance.
I had my datacenter setup rDNS for the primary IP of my server (IP handles mail, etc...), has worked fine for about two weeks.
I recently did a reinstall of the O/S and in the process changed the hostname and domain.
DNStools now shows that rDNS is not working. Now I'm wondering if this is just coincidence and the issue is with the DC...or by changing the hostname did that break reverse DNS. I suspect the DC, as I would think the rDNS would just show the old server host/domain info rather then nothing, but I'm not sure.
AOL seems to confirm the lack of rDNS:

Thanks for the help, before I hit up the DC I want to make sure I'm fully understanding the potential problem
