OK so this may be a stupid question - but I haven't been able to find the answer on the main Direct Admin help page.

So I created a mailing list a while ago and named it X@Domain

on one occassion when I sent a mass email to the list, I accidentally put this in the TO: field as opposed to the BCC field. Yesterday someone on the list sent an email to my list (since I had mistakenly displayed once) - so hence my q is:

how do I either a) change the name of the list so that as long as I never forget to BCC it again no one will know what the new list name is.

OR

b) make it so only emails I sent to the list are accepted?

thanks for help in advance!

I'm not sure how you'd change the name of a list.

Managing a list's options through email is covered in the list-owner-info file.

Unfortunately, DirectAdmin lists don't automatically send one of these to list owners; I've posted a generic copy here.

I'm not sure how you'd change the name of a list.

I have a horrid memory of having to create a new list(with the desired name) and then doing a paste of the subscribers from the old list to the new one.

That's how I moved several multi-hundred member lists from the RaQ to the DA server.

It's much easier to do that via an ssh session....but it may be able to be done via the GUI also.
