Is there any danger involved (of losing data for example) when changing packages?

I'm always a bit sceptical when doing this..

I need to clean up the packages a bit but I'm afraid it'll cause downtime or dataloss to my clients.

There is no danger in doing that. I've done it lots of times.

Just keep in mind that when you downgrade a package, it's possible that the account will be suspended during the midnight tally if the user is using more space than allowed in the downgraded package.

Allright thanks :)

I wondered why the suspend mode didn't work.. but judging by what you said and my experiences, the suspend mode becomes activated at night, even when manually set.

Actually the manual suspend option should run immediately, not at midnight. I assume when you manually suspend a user, he/she won't be suspended immediately?

yes, that's the case. As if it's not working at all.

I'll double check just to be sure

hmm now it works.. on a suspendable package.

When a package is set to not suspend at limit, and it's manually suspended, should it work as well?

I can't check it right now on a insuspendable package..

It should work as well... Manually overrides any other setting, I just tested it on my server...
Don't know why it isn't working on your server.

I think I must have been impatient. I noticed it's not applied instantly, and I did check it instantly.

It's still strange. Because when I suspend someone, he immediately is suspended. At least in the overview.
