Changing port/firewall

Greetings,
Just starting to migrate over to DA from cpanel/whm.
I am behind a firewall at work so I was using cgiproxy and also cpanelproxy to connect. Now with the port for DA being 2222 it really bums me out. I tried the url in my cgiproxy of ip:2222/ and it tell me connection refused.
Has anybody solved this problem?

Not that I know of. Although there was another thread a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of making a proxy like cpanel uses for those users behind firewalls.

Here it is although it was never resolved. Maybe somebody has gotten something since then though.

The easy way to do it is to create a tunnel through your ssh client.

That's fairly ssh-client specific though.

If you use a commercial ssh client you can probably get support for tunnelling through your ssh client vendor.

I can't help with the client (desktop) end unless you're using Linux desktops; we don't use Windows or Apple.

I can probably help with the server end, but I'm just too busy right now to take on another open-source project.

You might be able to get some help googling for something like:
