Hi,

Currently i run FC2 and i want to switch to CentOs 4.1 my question now is why do you need to email DA to ask them if the can change your os that is binded on your license ? isn't it more handy that you can just select the os when your run the installer ?

Only the DA staff can answer your question; the rest of use would be guessing.

My speculation is that it's part of their security system.

Most likely yes, but then again, thats also accomplished by the ip address, customer id and license id.

I agree that it would be easier to just specify the os you are using when installing DirectAdmin, but it's not at our hands. I don't mind it.
