Clearinghouse or Advertising Section for DA Hosts

I wish the forum or the DirectAdmin site had a section for DirectAdmin hosts to advertise their services.

I'm not a host. I'm just a reseller account holder who strongly prefers to use DirectAdmin hosts. I'm the good kind of customer your hosts should want. I pay my hosting fees promptly. I order value-added services. My low profile sites are not a drain on support resources or dealing with questionable content. My sites have a big disk space footprint, but aren't a burden on server resources.

For various reasons, I'm working with my fourth host in a year, so I've gone through the host search process three times during that time.

If there is some clearinghouse besides the WHT forums, I'd like to hear about it. It is a struggle sifting through the chaff in the WHT forums to identify DA hosts. Posting there often leads to arguments that "Control panel doesn't matter." Well to me, and I imagine to your company, it does matter. I wish that DA would provide some capability for DA hosts to promote themselves. It would clearly make it easier for customers like me who prefer DA hosts.

I'm smart enough to know that just because a site would be listed here that it does not constitute an endorsement. Believe me, I know that there are good and bad DA hosts out there and I don't consider the bad DA hosts I've worked with to be a reflection on the DA control panel.

What I don't need are a bunch of PMs with hosting offers. I'm set for now. I just want to have a better place to sift through the offers than what is available now.

This forum community is designed to be a place where DA users can get together and help each other.

My personal opinion is that this would simply cause price wars and flame wars, and dissention between DA users who should use these forums to help themselves.

My personal opinion (again) is that there must be better places to advertise our DA offerings than the DA forums.

If DA staff should decide to revisit this issue and want a forum where we can advertise our offerings they can either set up a subforum for the purpose, or they can ask me to do so and I'll be happy to set it up.

I've moved the thread to DirectAdmin General Discussion; in my opinion Feedback and Feature Requests is for product feedback and requests, not for forum feedback and requests.

I've just discussed this with my partner; we're prepared to set up an listing and advertising site for DA hosting at dahostingsolutions.com.

It may take a while to get it set up but we are working on it.

I like the idea, not many people realise the true power and convenience of directadmin unlike other control panels.

Nothing at dahostingsolutions.com yet. Looking forward to this or any other solution to my original post.

Then busy trying to catch up.

Onno and I are both busy but we'll get to this as soon as we can.
