Hi.

I 'm considering DA for corporate use.
Since I havent purchased it yet then I can test it deeply. So can anyone help me out with these issues:

I want to offer also free hosting for clients so that every client gets its domain like client1.somehosting.com client2.somehosting.com

and then client can add subdomains there like john.client1.somehosting.com etc....

Is it possible to do with DA, or are there any restrictions ?

Another thing is that I have separate database for clients, I would like to implements automatic client configuration.
Where is client configutaion kept for DA and how much is it possible to develop such "triggers"?

DirectAdmin would allow you to do what you want by setting up new domains at that first subdomain level. It cannot manage multiple level subdomains.

DirectAdmin has an API you can use to automate account setup.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to setup individual FTP logins for subdomains; DA is NOT designed for this and I haven't tested it.

DA is NOT designed for the kind of hosting you're doing; you'd be on your own.
