CNAME Record issue

We added a new CNAME record for one of ours subdomains and pointed it to a wordpress blog..
Looks like this on the DNS page..

blog.anklefootmd.com. CNAME anklefootmd.wordpress.com.

but when we try to look up the CNAME for this sub domain using DNS lookup after almost 48hrs of creating it, it comes up as NO records exist.

Are we doing anything wrong here, any help is much appreciated.

You are not using DA to manage DNS as far as i see:

ns1.edigita.com.   ['64.244.52.101']   [TTL=172800]
ns2.edigita.com.   ['64.244.52.101']   [TTL=172800]

So my question is, are you adding CNAME in DA or in the edigita.com dns control panel?

I'm doing it in DA..
should we be doing it on Rackspace where we are hosting the website..www.anklefootmd.com

Your dns servers are:

Domain servers:
ns1.edigita.com
ns2.edigita.com

You must make the changes on these nameservers. If they are not your directadmin server.
