CNAME records not being detected

Hi guys,

We are having to enforce DKIM and so created 4 custom CNAME records, but even after a day, still not being detected externally. I tried with and without a trailing dot, but still no joy.

It seems that mxtoolbox isn't detecting any CNAME records, even ones that existed previous (i.e. autodiscover.outlook.com). Any ideas?

Hard to say without knowing your domain name

Some troubleshooting you can do:

- are the nameservers of the domain pointing to your DA-server?
- are the records present when querying them on your on your DA-server? dig -t CNAME custom.cname.record @yourDA-server?
- try reloading the named service and checking again

(i.e. autodiscover.outlook.com). Any ideas?

If you use outlook.com then it's office 365 right? That's external mailserver, then they are responsible for creating DKIM records, not you, because mail is not send from your server. Or am I missing something?
