configure sendmail to use external mail server

How can i do this ?

Hopefully someone can explain this to me in detail.

I have the full ssh access but i do not know how to do it.

This forum is for DirectAdmin users. The DirectAdmin control panel uses Exim for it's mail server and not Sendmail. You may want to check out the Sendmail sites for more information on how to do this, if you are using Sendmail.
