Configuring block_ip.sh

Hi all,
I'm wanting to implement the instructions for automatically blocking IPs with firewall as listed here:
https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=380

But it's not clear what the 'install version' is referring to... version of iptables? OS? DA?

its the block_ip.sh version.

As far as I know it's a version of iptables script maintained by Directadmin developers.

http://files.directadmin.com/services/all/block_ips/

and other related scripts go from iptables script's version.

Thank you- that makes much more sense, I couldn't match up the available version numbers with anything on my system!

If you only start with the feature you might consider using the latest versions, just (re-)install all the script so that their versions match.
