I've just purchased A Dedicated server with direct admin on it

I created 1 user account on it and it work just fine i uploaded all my files and i keep getting "Apache is functioning normally" when If I call a specific page on the site I get a 404 error. but When I view with the filemanager the files are all there. and i can access them in the file manager also im tryin to set my name servers up im just complete lost i set up everything all the dns setting but when i put it in godaddy its says it not a registered domain name my Server Settings Server's Hostname serverip.domainname.com

NS1 NS1.domainname.com

domain

i currently still have my domain set to my old server because once ive made the new name servers to point it to my new one it wont let me godaddy says they are no registered, my server comes with 5 ips so i used 2 ips within my range to set up custom name servers but! when i add the ips and go to them i get the this ip is shared message im totally new to direct admin and iam learning as i go. and i know you have to register the name servers with godaddy but when i try that i still get the message maybe im doing something wrong with my ips:(

The issue with the site may be as simple as you not deleting an index.html file which becomes obsolete when you upload your site.

We can't help you with your DNS issue until/unless it's real. Without your real domain name for the nameservers there's no way to check them.

the issue was in my httpconf file the server ip was not pointing to public_html instead just /html but i want it to point to public_html so i can use my ftp but it wont let me at all

and with my dns ive made my custom name servers and pmed you the details

As we worked out, it will go to your public_html when you only use the domain, not the server IP as the server IP defaults to the /var/www/html/ (i.e very 1st vhost configuration in httpd.conf).

oh yea but now i need help with my dns/nameservers i registered them with godaddy and when i put them in godaddy still say they are invalid nameservers i guess i have to wait untill it propagate if its not there in 1 or 3 days then im gettin worryed

Please feel free to post the names and IP#s of your nameservers that are showing up as invalid. For more information, please see this page (ntlworld.com).
