Confused

ok i set up my DNS i think.

but it doesnt resolve to my address.
i can get there by using http://myip/~admin but not through domain. I know the domains are using right nameserver through register but just cant resolve on my box.

Sorry if this doesnt make since i am really frustrated. My first DA box... used to Cpanel

The nameservers are setup and glue properly it appers, but they are not responding fast enough (or not at all).

If you ping the nameservers do they respond at all or do they timeout there aswell?

You might try restarting named.
Do you have a firewall or anything else setup that could possibly be blocking the necessary ports?

if i try to ping any of my ip's they time out??? but i can log in to directadmin through the ip will check my firewall. This is a brand new server wouldnt think they would block nameservers??? contacting my provider may get me further

oh and thanks for the help.... sorry if im short i am getting pissed. several problems so far... after a reboot the firewall locked everyone out first now this
