Hello all,
I feel like I've got a real strange one here. At some point in the last couple of months I noticed that my iOS devices were no longer able to show mail downloaded from my DA system for a specific domain. The iOS device can download the messages just fine, but the message preview would always show "This message has no content". After opening the message, it would just disappear from the inbox. This happens on both iPhone and iPad, however on my Mac it works just fine.
I've run the gambit of troubleshooting steps on both iOS devices, including just now erasing my phone and starting completely from scratch without restoring the phone from backup or anything, just setting up the email account.
I've been contemplating different ways this could be a configuration issue on the iOS devices. The first thing that popped into my head was an IMAP Prefix Path issue, but my thinking was if the IMAP Prefix Path was an issue, the iOS devices wouldn't be able to download the messages in the first place. They can, they are just unable to be displayed and are subsequently deleted.
I can't imagine it's a certificate issue, because if it were, the account wouldn't be able to connect in the first place.
I've checked the Dovecot logs, and there aren't any obvious errors that I can see.
I have no reason to think it's anything other than Dovecot at this point, or some odd compatibility issue that has come up between iOS and Dovecot.
And just to throw another curveball, I have two other domains on the same DA server that work just fine on the same iOS devices and Mac.
I'm really at a loss here. Wondering if anyone has any ideas about where I might be able to continue looking to try and figure out what's going on here.
Thanks in advance.
