Connect to your MySQL database from a remote connection

Hi

I have followed the instructions on http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=308 however I still can't access the database remotely. I have entered % for the host but no joy. My firewall allows 3306 port connections.

Any help would be appreciated.

I personally have never had any success using % wildcard for the hostname. I have always had to explicitly add the hostname/ip address in order for remote access to work.

I explicitly set my IP address from which I am connecting but no joy.

I have not got any further along with this, the host is youds.com (or 178.62.42.232) if someone wants to give it a try.

Ahh, outgoing 3306 was not allowed from the remote server. Thanks for all the help.
