I have bare metal servers and I recently changed from cpanel to DA and I am surprised that as a Phoenixnap user I cannot create a user for their Directadmin support ticket system, the phoenixnap technician told me that I cannot contact directadmin or register for the DA ticket system (because they were the ones who bought the license and not me) but they will contact you instead of me contacting them (just like in cpanel).

Is this correct?

yes, Because ticket must login with their account before create support ticket

No you don't need to be logged in for a ticket. You can create a guest ticket. But there is a bug, no ticket confirmation and no mail on ticket update either. So you have to note down the ticket and check yourself regularly.

If Phoenixnap has datacenter licenses (internal licenses), I thought you could create an account with DA on those, but I'm not sure.

They = Pnap

Im trying to register here https://tickets.directadmin.com/new_ticket.php

On the file /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt i only had a LID not CID
On name i put a username in email i use my email

Yes that is the way to do it as guest. Did you noted your ticket number? As you won't get any email notification. So if you forget your ticket number, you're "screwed". :)
It's a bug in the ticket system.

However, you need your CID.

It's very odd that you don't have a CID in the /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/setup.txt file. It should be there.
Contact PNAP for it. Is that a Dutch datacenter by th way?

If it's an internal license, they either need to give you support themselves (as should be) or make sure you can contact support by providing the CID too.

I presume you can't ask your question on the forum?
