Continuous Problems with the server.

Hello,

I Am currently expiriencing some major technical difficulties with DirectAdmin. Any advise on this problem is more then welcome!

Two days ago our server had some problems with (what seemed likely) the 'bind' of certain domains, since some domains could not be reached, and some could. We gave the server a reboot and from thereon the problems only got worse. For the record before the reboot we did not make any big changes other then change the bandwidth limit of some users.

Now the problems got from that one reboot two days ago to a restart/reload/reboot an hour today. With restart and reload I mean the services like 'named' and 'bind'. The only change for today was the update that showed as 'available', even though it didn't do us any good.

The following services are the ones that keep getting stuck at some point: bind, named, httpd en mysqld.

The problems dissappear for an hour or so and then they reappear again (sometimes it's a mysql error, other times it's several domain names that cannot be reached). It switches between these two problems.

Hi, i think we would be glad to help you, but in order to do so we will need some more description of some concrete problems you are having.

What OS and system specs are you running to begin with ,

Also what error messages do you got,
and what does the logs in /var/log tell you.

I'll be happy to give some advice but i need some more info in order to give some good advice
