Convert DA backups to cPanel

I doubt your going to find much help or will in wanting to write a conversion script To cPanel here. ;)

You might be able to reverse the cpanel -> DA tool that can be found in the 3rd party forums so that it creates cpanel compliant backups, however that too is a shell script.
 
i am not really waiting for a tool to do it. but some help on how to do it will help :)
 
Since I've never done a conversion between cpanel I can't give you a solid answer. However if I were in your shoes, I would disect the cpanel -> DA tool and reverse the process.
 
i do not know how to do that :) so to just save time i will take the long way download the backup, upload the files, upload the sql to phpmyadmin but ftp how do i uplaod the backup my new host do not give me any shell access
 
The mysql backup?
There's usually a 2mb limit by php so without shell access you'd have to break down the .sql file into smaller chunks less than the max allowed upload size.
 
eh i think it is not possible to transfer ftp but never mine but i need sql and the sql users how can i move it without having to setup up the user for the sql database?

i have about 70 over database and it will be messy to set it up again as i can't remember the user password or i think the password was set the auto installer so i wil not know the password :)
 
i also need to move the email settings, accounts over but i am not sure as the passwd file looks a little different in cpanel and the other files too
