Can anyone help me with simple instructions on changing email from POP to IMAP? Using both Outlook and Thunderbird? Thanks in advance. I just need it to be as simple as possible.

In Thunderbird it's easy.changing email from POP to IMAP? Using both Outlook
Do I need to do anything in the DirectAdmin Control Panel correct? Or Roundcube? Just in either T-Bird or Outlook? Do I need to make the domain https? In Thunderbird it's easy.
Just create the same account but as IMAP. After that, move all mails from the pop3 inbox to the imap inbox and other boxes as far as needed and then you're done and can delete the pop3 account.
In Outlook you have a problem, because Outlook does not allow the same account to be created in both pop3 and imap.
Best is to first backup the pop3 mails from outlook some way. Either export or use a program like Mailstore Home to make a backup of the pop3 account and all folders needed.
Then delete the pop3 account in Outlook, create the same account with IMAP again and then restore all mails to all folders as needed.
I really don't understand why Microsoft always must be less compatible and does not allow the same account to be active in pop3 and imap like Thunderbird does, which makes switching a lot easier.
No, nothing to do in Directadmin or Roundcube. Only change accounttype (make it new) in your local mailclient.Do I need to do anything in the DirectAdmin Control Panel correct? Or Roundcube? Just in either T-Bird or Outlook? Do I need to make the domain https?
