For the past 3-4 years we have been running cPanel on all our servers.
Recently we moved into our own Colocation environment, stopped getting servers from theplanet, etc.
This of course upped our bottom line as we were paying $25 for cPanel with Fantastico, etc. Anyhow.
Currently we STILL HAVE, and WILL have:
- cPanel DNS Only
- Few customers with cPanel
However, we are looking at FUTURE with DA in mind, I am here with a few questions:
1) Does DA have the view CPU/Memory usage page as cPanel? breaking it down per domain with highest CPU/Mem combination on top? This is updated in realtime in cPanel I believe and you can check for past history of CPU/Mem usage.
2) cPanel DNS only is running on two DNS clusters, we want to keep using them but now with DA we want some kind of backwards compatibility. Is this possible? (I have another thread open, but maybe the developers can make it clearer how I can achieve this).
Having DNSonly work with DA is definetly one of my needs, as legacy customers still use cPanel - and DNSonly has proven itself fault-proof and worthy so far. Now, if I could just get DA to work with it for new customers and while I move slowly some legacy clients into DA it would be awesome.
3) Any script installers such as Fantastico for DA?
4) Does DA have a /scripts/ folder with tools to easy administration?
5) How do you upgrade/compile apache is there an easyapache like tool or you need to download sources and solve dependencies YOURSELF?
I think that's all for now, if I get answers and more questions I will post here.
Thanks!
