Hi, alot of my client are requesting the cpanel style feature of adding pop3 accounts and other mail features onto pointed domains - is this feature going to be added to da anytime soon?

Thanks

I believe (based on experience) that when you point a domain, all the email addresses are pointed as well as the http.

For example, if you write me at nobaloney.com, the email comes to my nobaloney.net address.

hmm, yeah, but when the user in question adds a pop mailbox, they can't add the parked/pointed domain, which is what im getting at, this is available in cpanel however.

My client seem to want to be able to add pop3 accounts to parked domains, without creating another account...

Thanks

I suppose by now someone has changed all the pertinent definitions, but I always thought a parked domain was a parked domain and a hosted domain was a hosted domain.

Whre did I go wrong  ?

I prefer the directadmin way - that means that I don't need to replicate mailboxes for the com/net/org of a domain (useful with some of the projects I'm involved in where we have a fair few mailboxes).

In fact, way back in CPanel 3 or 4 it behaved this way too AFAIK.

Domain Pointer = browser redirect
Parked Domain = no redirect

Parked Domain feature without Domain Pointer feature is better than vice versa, because it's more flexible and less expensive.

You've brought this up in too many questions.

My guess is that you're doing it because you don't like the answer.

Unfortunately the answer isn't going to change.

A parked domain is a domain pointed to a parking page, and that's easily enough done.

A domain with it's own email accounts is not parked; it's an email domain. You can create that with a custom skin.
