Hello, We had a user wreck his site, we started a restore for him from one of his backups through his DA account, the server stoped responding to ay requests, ssh failed and with no one at the center, we hit the power switch.

Well, now the box pings, but thats about it, strange when trying to ssh, it hangs, but when trying to conect telnet, instant connection refused, so APF must be up,

Any ideas besides a full drive ?
(I deleted quite a few un-needed backups before the restore, so I know there is room.)

Kinda bummed, had to call someone out of bed for this one...

Thanks,
GLennH

You can't log in through the shell?

Can you log in through DirectAdmin? If so, then do so, and turn off all the services except for ssh and DirectAdmin, and then try logging in through the shell.

If you can't login after this (if possible), then you'll need to have someone at the data center login from the console if that's possible.

If not, then you'll have to look at the drive, probably in another system.

Thanks for the reply,
no shell, no DA, nothing.

I was able to ping, I did see that APF was up, but thats it.

needed another hit at the APC ...

Thanks, anyways...
