Creating custom VirtualHost templates

I'm following this guide:

... which says:

cd /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates
cp virtual_host2*.conf custom
cd custom

I'm not able to do this because there is no such directory. Instead there is a file called 'custom' in this location. Should I delete the file and create a fresh 'custom' directory in its place?

file here due to your second command,
yes, you must cteate this DIR first, than copy there files which you want to customize.
also chown dir to right owner as other files
