creating many domains in a batch

Hi,
is it possible (API - scripting?) to create many domains from the command line?

I have a client that has several hundred domains and want all of them represented by a site (could be one site for all of them). I don't really want to go into the DA user interface and add all those domains by hand. Is there a way that I can automate this and run a script or batch from the command line?

If that would be the only way to have a site that reacts to 1300 domain names, yes, then I woulds take that. But, eventually all these domains will have different content, so it would be better to have the option of all domain roots being different, although initially I would set the domain root the same for all those domains.

Thanks for that pointer and if anything else fails I might spring for the $40, but I believe there is a scripting API to DA and so that is a good opportunity for me to familiarize myself with that one as well.
Any idea where I can find info on that and maybe some samples on how to do this?
