Creating new account & catch-all.

Hi all,

I wonder if someone can tell me if this is possible.

Whenever I create a new account, the user isn't able to receive email straight away because 'catch-all' is set to fail by default.

I would like catch-all set to the username (especially to begin with) so they can at least get welcome messages etc.

Catchall is set to fail by default, but you can certainly change it. If you do you'll get lots of spam, and your server will also eventually do a lot of collateral spamming and forwarding of spam to ISPs, hotmail, gmail, etc.

You should really take the time to set up the required email addresses and/or forwards or teach your users how to do it. And then you shouldn't even allow your users to allow catchall email.

If you search these forums you'll see lots of reasons why catchall just doesn't work on today's 'net.
