CSF is recommending to disable xinetd -- Should I disable?

I am running the CSF Security checker and it is saying that xinetd is not needed on most servers.

Could someone tell me if I should disable this or not? I have not personally done anything extra other than the basic system install and DA install. So, I have not customized xinetd in any way!

If you dont need it and you're not using that for anything, than yes you can disable it.

The thing is that I don't know if I'm using it.

How can I tell? Does the basic install of the CentOS 6.5 system use it?

It should not, you can check it reading file /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/options.conf

xinetd listens for incoming requests over a network and launches the appropriate service for that request.

If you're running only services controlled by Directadmin: HTTP/HTTPS, POP/IMAP/SMTP, FTP server, then you don't need xinetd. Directadmin does not use xinetd.
