Custom DNS Template

Hello,

I urgently require your advise and help please.

I need to change the DNS template for my DirectAdmin reseller account so that when new accounts are created my custom DNS settings are applied automatically, i.e. I really just want to set the DNS for Google, that is just for my reseller account and no one else on this server.

I am also the admin on the server but don't want to change the dns_ns.conf file as I believe this changes the DNS settings for all accounts. I just want the custom DNS for one reseller account so that I can just create an account for AdSense for Domains.

It is possible to do this under the reseller level on cPanel very easily, I have been doing this for my 70+ domains, but I just moved to DirectAdmin and can't find anything about this.

How do I do this? Is there a tutorial?

I believe, two ways you can go:

1. Customize your DNS templates, add a check on creator var.
I'm not sure if the variable is passed to the template.

2. Use add/modify post/pre scripts for DNS. Add a check on creator var.
If the creator is your reseller, you can put or modify DNS zone.

Another check you can do. If your reseller uses his own set of name servers for customers' domains, you can check variables NS1/NS2. And if NS1/NS2 belongs to the reseller just add your records instead of defaults.
