Custom subdomain path doesnt work

I have created a subdomain sub.domain.com and could find "sub" inside /home/user/domains/domain.com/public_html. I have a folder inside another domains public_html like /home/user/domains/domain2.com/public_html/sub2. I want to use "sub2" as the root directory for sub.domain.com and I have set this path in subdomain configuration page by using the custom root option. However, the subdomain keeps going to "/home/user/domains/domain.com/public_html/sub" and shows me the "This is a placeholder for the subdomain..." message. I have restarted Openlitespeed multiple times. Any help would be appreciated.

Could you clarify your question a bit? I don't follow what you want to do.

As far as I understand you want to point your public_html for your domain to the sub-directory. It can be done but does not really serve a purpose other than a cosmetic one. I.e. having your files in a directory with your chosen name. The main directory will not serve webpages if you move the document root (public_html) for the domain.

If you add more detail we'll be able to help you better.
