Have been unable to find anything official about this so I decided to just ask.
There are alot of posts that talk about using the customapache/build scripts to install / update things such as apache, mysql, php etc
So is this the prefered / only way of installing / updating these products or is it ok to use the inbuilt linux installation / update tools such as rpm, yum etc to keep these products up to date.
When installing php from yum for example I know that I can just choose the modules that I want and it will work, but if I use the customapache/build then I have to make sure that all prerequisites are met, and will most likely have to use yum (or similar) to install the prereqs
So does it break directadmin if products like php, mysql, apache etc are installed from linux repositories rather than using the customapache/build?
