DA as ftp only server

Hi

I want to provide backup space to my clients with only one FTP account per client. They don't need to log in to the panel or anything.
I have a dedicated DA server for this purpose only but the issue I have is that when I create an account under DA it creates directories and files necessary for a website which I do NOT need.
My question is how can I modify DA behaviours to stop creating directories such as .php, public_html, domains and tmp.

PS. I have already created a custom post script to remove all files/dirs under the user home directory but DA creates them again after a while.
 
DA is not a ftp only server. Its a web hosting panel. Its not modular related to services. There is a Email only template but it still creates all the other website items.

Why not just build a FTP server and use a simple server panel like Webmin or Froxlor?
 
Upvote for webmin.
Webmin is what you needed for a simple FTP server.

My main reason is an easy-to-use API which I am familiar with and implemented on my application already.
