DA cant connect to MySql Server error ?

Im the Admin for Da and Im in over my head.
I was setting up a new msql db for a new domain and on the MySql Setup page Im getting errors,

Create new Database
phpMyAdmin
Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

I stoped/started the mysql server and no luck. I resatrted DA no good.

The worst part is that this error is system wide. No user can create a db and know ones php scripts can access it .

Can Any one help ???

I did a killall mysqld, killall safemyslqd then restarted mysql through da

Works like a champ.....
