Ummm, i just looked though my /home/mysql listing and found a tons of dbs out there that belong to nobody. Users who were once hosted on our boxes but their db is sitting out there undeleted.

In addition, today i try to add a new db via DA and i get the message

User already exists

I look in the mysql db and there it is. Tons of users who have never been deleted all sitting out there.

Whats going on with this? Why cant DA remove db's when a hosting account is deleted?

Why cant DA remove old users who no longer exist or are not part of any existing db?

Try to create a test user with a test db inside and remove the user once all created.

Then check if user has been deleted, if dbuser and db are deleted too, if not, check logs for errors cause thats absolutly not normal.

Normally all DBs and domains are deleted with the user. So in your case, something might be mis-configured. In distance with that information, you've given it's very difficult to make any guess.

So, you might want to add a new account with a fake domain, add some DBs, delete user and learn directadmin logs, and post them here. After that it might be easier to diagnosis your issue.
