DA --

A few people seem to be complaining about lack of DA responses on the forum and slow responses to support requests and orders........so I have an idea for you. Sign up for Google AdSense and put it on your home page and in the forum. It is a piece of cake, you don't have to worry about dealing with advertisers, and based on the cost per click of web hosting related AdWords, I would imagine you guys could easily make a few thousand dollars per month with a whopping 15 minutes of effort to sign up. Take the Google $$ and hire a high school or college kid to help you out with forum postings and support requests.

This seems like an easy way for you to make your customers even happier and it won't cost you any money.

Jmstacey you could try contacting them on your knees and asking for the JOB :D heheh ;)

Just kidding, it is said before, they should hand out a bit of their money for support if they want to expand more.

As for support most of us are replying without getting getting any money of it ;)

Work for nothing I would say. If they want people to keep helping the community in a steady way as the group expands. They need to keep those old guru's in there and help them out with the support. I think if the member count doubles the support will be way off. Yes as they said a discount for resellers, but still there would always be demand for this kind of support issues.

Small questions with large problems.

Jmstacey does a great Job on this forum as many others (not trying to put a feather in your ***) :)

Had to bablefish "feather" :p

Back to topic. There was a topic on bounty's for people that help out and DA doesn't EVER reply on these topics why ? you would ask. Probaly because they don't want to hand out the money for it :s

I would think this would be a great way to support the community in a better way. People are drifted to help others.

But ok enough again.. talked to much to many about this :)

If they don't reply, I'm not replying either :D

I think there's a really easy thing DA could do to help - encourage some voluntary moderators for the forums.

Everyone's really helpful here already, but perhaps if some people could answer the simpler newbie questions, it might take some pressure off John and Mark.

Then again, it might make no difference at all :)

I certainly agree they seem to need more staff. But it's their business, not mine.

;)

I would be glad to help out with anything here for free. I am sure many others would do the same too, all DA needs to do is ask. :)

All you have to do to help out is register and start answering people's questions. Moderators are only needed to keep forum abuse down, which doesn't seem to be a major problem yet except for a couple accidentally misplaced topics.

They could let people access their live support system. This way emergency things could be handled there live.

It's never online, so :) Maybe that could be the first step!

Moderators can serve as a communication bridge between DA and the users, and they can help bringing up errors or issues users are facing to the management.

If DA is too busy to check the forum, they need someone else to do it for them. Leaving a barrier here is just not wise.
