I´m finally thinking of buying DA license after 3 years and just start another test server in my adsl connection. Im gonna pack my testserver with debian and learn some more da stuff, before starting real hosting with da.

So, surprise surprise problem is static ip addresses.. Now my ip addresses is changing once or twice in a year.

Im gonna point only one "main" domain to my server and make just some sub-domain accounts. This way i can make some new accounts and get it work with sub-domains automatically, right? Just keeping that one domain to pointed to correct server ip, with dns-option that all subdomains is automatically pointed to main domain ip also.

I really like the the aspect of running own server in my own office and learn it step by step. Maybe share some free temp accounts etc. Have you had feelings like this :) So i really want give this a try, rather than buying some 40$/month ready to go package or vps.

So im hoping some advices and instructions before buying da-license and fireing my adsl test server.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

To run DA it needs to be on a server directly addresseable over the Internet with the same routable IP# as is set up on the server. It doesn't care if the connection is aDSL, T-1, or paper-cup-and-string.

The server can handle multiple domains/subdomains over one IP#.

What else are you asking?
