DA installation on a VPS for an amateur

My friend intends to buy DA for a brand new VPS a/c at SliceHost.com.
He has absolutely no server admin experience.
The pricing page says Free Installation.

1. Would DA install it on a barebones VPS for free ? No need to hire a sys-admin for whatsoever purpose ?

2. How much space with DA take initially ?

3. Support for Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit ? All Slicehosts's packagaes are 64-bit now. Any better distros for DA ?

If you think you can install directadmin and not have any linux experience then you are a sadly mistaken.

We do have a friend who is a linux sys-admin guru, but just doesnt seem right to get him to do everything.

Last time I checked, the only officially supported 64bit distro for DirectAdmin was CentOS, or at least that's always what it has said every time I have run the setup.
