I am not a fan of unauthorized software updates. I'd rather initiate and monitor what the update breaks on my time schedule.

Under - Extra Features --> Administrator Settings; I have NO check in the checkbox; 'Use the automatic updater to automatically get the lastest version of DirectAdmin.'

When I visited the; Extra Features --> License / Updates page to see where I was, the software updated to the latest version. I did not click on anything. I did however mouse over the 'Update DirectAdmin' link. I looked at the html source code and didn't see anything there that would trigger an update on a mouseover.

I'm better than 50% sure I didn't twitch during the mouseover since I didn't get an update confirmation page.

Am I on drugs?

Hmmm?

Hello,

That applies to us sending notification to your server to auto-update DA.
We have not sent that code for a long time.

However, if you're using custombuild with the auto-update cron option for DA, then cuystombuild would have been what updated it.

Hi John,

Not a custom build. I can't imagine why simply visiting the page caused the update. I must have twitched during the mouseover (update link) by accident.

Maybe as a feature (for dummies like me) is an "are you sure" popup for any system changes???

Happy New Year!
