Are there any features planned to support us to achieve the Data-Retention specifications in the EU?

More or less saving all entries of logfiles in a specified form, for a specified duration and afterwards delete it?

TIA,
Mike

I think that if DirectAdmin would have to manage data retention rules for many different jurisdictions it could get a bit complex.

As it stands now your OS should be rotating logs and saving about a month's worth of logs, but you should verify that to make sure.

If you need to store logs for a longer period of time you should learn about how logrotate works (see man logrotate to start; you can make any changes you want without affecting DirectAdmin.

If you don't have room to store the logs on your server you'll need to create some kind of scripting to copy them off your server before logrotate runs.

There's a way to do anything; I even know how to strike a match on a wet cake of soap ;).

The key question is how.

If no one else has done it (try googling) you can always analyze it, and then create the project yourself.
